We had the best time spending our Christmas holidays at this beach home rental. We enjoyed the mission bay views whilst enjoying the comforts this house provided. This beach rental is conveniently located close to the pacific ocean, restaurants, stores etc. The amenities provided were good and we felt like it was our home away home. We felt very comfortable and highly recommend this rental. We will definitely be back again soon. Thank you for making our Christmas holidays so joyous and memorable.

We are repeat renters at this house. We love it. Can walk to the sand in about 5 steps out the back to the Bay or 5 minutes out the front to get to the ocean side. We walked to every meal and went for multiple mile scenic walks each day in all directions. Also, super close to a lot of key destinations. We went to Sea World, Padres, La Jolla, and even Disneyland.

We are repeat renters at this house. We love it. Can walk to the sand in about 5 steps out the back to the Bay or 5 minutes out the front to get to the ocean side. We walked to every meal and went for multiple mile scenic walks each day in all directions. Also, super close to a lot of key destinations. We went to Sea World, Padres, La Jolla, and even Disneyland.

This was our third time staying and we love it! The location cannot be beat and the home is always so clean and very comfortable. Will definitely be back again.

Location! Location! Bay on one side, beach on the other. Walking distance to stores, restaurants, etc. bikes, paddle boards, kayaks, beach toys and chairs made it perfect for entertaining without having to bring slot of stuff. The second bedroom twin beds are a bit small. Adults would not be able to fit. My teens feet hung from the beds… but we made it work. The management company was very attentive and responded to any and all needs.

Beautiful place. Enjoyed the bikes and paddle boards. The sun wasn’t as cooperative as we had hoped but oh well. The place was clean and beautifully decorated. Great location. Not too busy and there is puppy rescue a few doors down. When you are on vacation and miss your puppy you can get a fix. Lol

Great location, lovely property. Had everything you could possibly need or didn't know you needed (beach towels, umbrellas, bikes, dishes, seasoning, games, and more. The hosts were very communicative from pre-check-in to check out. They checked in daily to make sure all was well. The views were amazing, view of the sunrise over the bay every morning. The only unfavorable part was you could hear every step of the upstairs walking up the stairs, and walking around. But it always quieted down by 9:30 pm -10:00 pm. I would absolutely stay here again. It was a lovely weekend getaway.

We come to San Diego at least once a year and this is our favorite place to stay. Plenty of space for our family of four. Perfect location and lots of amenities included like bikes, paddle boards and kayaks. Property manager Kimberly is friendly and very responsive. Would highly recommend this property!

It was ok but location I wouldn’t have paid what I did knowing someone else is upstairs making hella noise I won’t rent here again please make better description of the location and disclosing that someone is above us no privacy for the price it was not worth it

Awesome restaurants in the neighborhood. We walked to every meal. All were 5 Stars. The accomodations were very entertaining with the bayside strand right outside the patio. The only complaint we had is the door to the courtyard from the alley is very difficult to open/close.

Our stay was absolutely perfect. Felt right at home.  Within walking distance to everything we needed. Very clean, and perfect space for a family of 4! The indoor fireplace was very nice cuddling up and watching movies. Having access to the beach towels, beach chairs, and bikes were very convenient. The out door grill was fun, bbqing and socializing on the patio. There was a big group staying above us, very quiet and we still felt privacy staying below. Parking was easy with lots of space. I would love to stay again. 

Our stay was absolutely perfect. Felt right at home.  Within walking distance to everything we needed. Very clean, and perfect space for a family of 4! The indoor fireplace was very nice cuddling up and watching movies. Having access to the beach towels, beach chairs, and bikes were very convenient. The out door grill was fun, bbqing and socializing on the patio. There was a big group staying above us, very quiet and we still felt privacy staying below. Parking was easy with lots of space. I would love to stay again. 

It's a great location and the place is great. The one draw back is you run the luck on who is above you. We had a Bachelorette party above us so it was loud.

House is on the Mission Beach boardwalk which is fairly quiet as compared to Pacific Beach, just a few blocks away and an easy walk. A multi-story home that appears to have been converted into 2 separate private units--we stayed in the lower unit which is beach-level & cozy. There was a different group staying upstairs which would have been the main living area in a single-family home, and the larger of the 2 units. Beachy decor. We were there for a girls weekend and it was comfortable for the 3 of us, each getting our own bed. With 4 ppl, 2 would need to share the king bed. Highly recommend, great location!

I live in San Diego so I wasn’t here for vacation but had to relocate while repairs were done on my own home. Michael was a tremendous host really helped me with troubleshooting the Internet connection so I could work remotely. Access to the water was phenomenal. They had paddle boards, kayaks and everything you would need to enjoy a fun day at the beach. I really enjoyed my stay.

Great home. The noise was definitely a let down. The city moving the sand at 6am was terrible. The house next to us partying all night also sucked! Other than that the house and location was amazing.

House was absolutely amazing. The noise around it definitely wasn’t. The city started pushing the sand at 6am Saturday morning. Didn’t let us sleep in. The house next to us had a party til 12 midnight. City time limit is 10pm. If it’s wasn’t for those 2 things it would be epic.

We had a wonderful weekend at this Airbnb. The host was very kind and answered all of our questions. She gave us great suggestions. What a beautiful location. We woke up looking at the sun shining on the bay. Just a couple of short blocks away and you are at the ocean. The town is around the corner and we had a wonderful breakfast at a great restaurant. A great weekend in Mission Bay. Great Airbnb, you don't want to miss it!!

we had a great time. the location is ideal for mission bay, mission beach, and pacific beach. easy to walk everywhere. out the back door is the bay and 3 minute walk the other direction is the beach. we actually talked to multiple people that were cruising past the back of the place during the week and said they had rented there and it was their favorite place. we will be back.

Our Magical Mission Beach place was exactly as advertised. It was spotless and the communication was timely and detailed. It covered everything. The space is amazing and the location is perfect. Being on the Bay Side was quiet and felt local. We were able to walk just a couple of blocks when we wanted to get to the ocean side. We ate out on our patio most nights while looking at the boats on the bay. We rode the the bikes left for us every day. That was a real treat to ride them along side the water and end up at a place to eat or shop. In addition to the bikes, it had everything we wanted/needed - beach chairs, paddle boards, surf board, beach towels. Amazing place. We can't wait to stay here again.

A beautiful property on beautiful Mission Bay. The place felt like home, and we loved the patio facing the bay. Kitchen is well equipped, lots of beach toys, the house was clean and walking distance to so many things. Best part for us was being able to sit on the patio and easily watch our toddler playing on the sand. Also loved the short walk to Mission Bay boating centre - we rented a pontoon a few times and it was easily to boat around the bay

Great place to stay. Furniture is a bit outdated. The host did a great job communicating. Locks were a bit hard to use. The neighbors above us were wonderful and great to get to know! Overall a good stay

We arrived early & all of our needs were accommodated. Check in sounded complicated but actually went pretty smooth. There are a lot of doors at least 6 of them! So be very careful if traveling with people that they are all locked accordingly. It was cold so we really didn’t even go out onto the back patio but it does have a nice view. There are a lot of people walking by naturally..Yes you are on the bottom floor so you can hear every footstep, every door opening you can also hear the water running. Be aware!

There was an odor when we arrived the smell of gas! We immediately went outside & texted the property manager who by the way is on top of her game! She was there to help in a matter of seconds! She called the emergency # and they came right out while we left the property for a bit until they figured out where it was coming from. It was coming from the fire place so we could not use it.

Overall we had a great time! Beautiful San Diego!

We enjoyed relaxing dinners on the patio most evenings just watching the kids happily play out front on the beach. This is a great place. Great location, close to local restaurants at all price points, quiet bay view to enjoy while sitting on the patio or playing in the water with all the great beach gear available.

This is an absolutely perfect place to stay in the Mission Beach area. We loved that it sits on the quiet bay side and we could simply bike across the boulevard to the boardwalk and ocean side for all of the fun Mission Beach action. It is perfectly located for a less than 5 minute bike ride to all of the shops and restaurants. The bikes and beach gear were a huge perk and the unit was adorable and very clean. The management company was excellent to work with and was very responsive throughout our stay. This was our first time to San Diego and this place was a wonderful introduction to a beautiful city!

This place is beautiful and the location is perfect. The only issue was the noise through the ceiling. The upstairs neighbors were not loud at all but we could hear every step and movement of chairs, not just clearly but loudly. it wasn't pleasant waking up at 6am to someone having breakfast upstairs. That being said, it was still a wonderful weekend getaway.

The upstairs neighbors were not loud at all but we could hear every step and movement of chairs, not just clearly but loudly. it wasn't pleasant waking up at 6am to someone having breakfast upstairs. That being said, it was still a wonderful weekend getaway.

Thank you for a wonderful few days on the beach! We loved staying bayside. The neighborhood is lovely / peaceful, with easy walk to stores and restaurants. We loved being just steps from the water. Enjoyed meals on the patio, the water toys and walks along the boardwalk. The unit was super clean, loved the decor and puzzles and games we were able to enjoy. Oh and the jumping Mullet fish were a hoot! Thanks again, we hope to be back!

The location directly on the bay is fantastic! You are mere inches from the living room door to the sand. My only complaints are that the ground floor unit, which we had, experienced a lot of noise from the renters above us. You couldn't hear voices, but the footsteps of kids running around or the moving of any furniture was heard and quite annoying each day/night. My other issue is that for the nightly price of this unit, the bedding is terribly subpar. I actually went out and purchased a $50 comforter that rivaled the old school style one they had. Aside from that, we did enjoy our stay here and do recommend it.

This place was amazing, we couldn't ask for more! I definitely recommend booking and I would definitely stay again. The place is nice, clean & modern. The architecture of the home on the outside is so neat! There are a ton of big windows and sliding doors that let all of the natural light in. The A/C's work great! We really enjoyed our time on the patio. It was so nice to be right on the bay! The location is so great! We were able to walk to the restaurants in Pacific Beach and there are also tons of small restaurants & coffee shops within a 5 min walk. The rental comes with 4 beach cruisers that we were able to take out; it was so fun! Several reviews mention the noise upstairs but it truly wasn't bad at all. We could definitely hear foot steps from time to time & occasional chairs, but it really wasn't bad. We made friends with the group upstairs and had a great time! We brought sound machines for the night time, just in case, but didn't end up needing them.

Honestly the best location if you have young kids…and also if you don’t. :)This home has every amenity you’ll need and you won’t want to leave! The bay was perfect for beach days and was so much less crowded than the ocean side and the kids could play freely without enormous waves. We also kayaked and paddle boarded which was awesome! You won’t regret staying in this beautiful beachfront home! It is a hair noisy but nothing too bothersome. This is a bottom floor unit and you can absolutely hear footsteps of guests above as well as some boardwalk noise when people are walking/biking/running past. It really didn’t hinder our stay but would be the only con. We had an amazing week and would definitely like to return!

This home is in the perfect location! We stayed here for the weekend and it was amazing. We spent most of our time on the patio or on the sand right outside the patio. The home has many amenities and Kimberly is available with any recommendations you may need. We can not wait to stay here again!

You couldn't ask for a better location than this home! You walk out the door and are at the boardwalk and beach. There is a lovely low key vibe on this side of the bay. The house was clean and quiet. I would definitely recommend it!

5 star location! Right off of the boardwalk, steps to the sand. Home was beautiful and had everything you would ever need from inside to outside. Hosts were great, available and had great tips. One & only drawback was the noise from the guests above us, could hear every movement, including before sunrise. We would definitely come back again and again!

I am also an Airbnb host and this place is amazing! The layout is perfect for keeping privacy from other guests and plenty of room to be together in one spot too. Beach front, you can kayak (many other toys) everyday right when you wake up. It’s an actual slice of heaven. The best location, views from inside the house, walking distance to everything, amazing communication, clean and updated property. Not one bad thing to say. She’s clearly a pro!

The place is lovely, great location, cozy unit. However, be warned that if you are renting the bottom unit and there are guests in the unit above, and those guests are heavy walkers or jump around, you will hear it all, including the screeching sound of the kitchen chairs being moved around. But the owner was understanding and relayed our concern to the upstairs renters and they did make an effort to keep the stomping down.

My family and I had an incredible time at Kimberly’s place! The location is amazing and the views are gorgeous. The home is fully stocked with any and everything you can imagine; cooking supplies, bikes, sand toys, kayaks; etc. The weather was on the cooler end during our stay, and the cozy fireplace was a HUGE bonus. Being steps away from the sand was such a great experience; the neighborhood was safe and quiet, perfect for a late night bike ride or walk. I would totally stay here again!

Beautiful first floor apartment. Location is right on the sand / bay & a 3 min walk to the beach. Lots of great cafes , restaurants etc nearby. VERY quick drive to Sea World and around 15 min to zoo, La Jolla, Old town.

Great host and communication. Easy check in. Very professionally managed. Nice location and has all the things you need for a beach visit. Walking distance to restaurants. Can be a little noisy but you’re at the beach and thats kinda part of it. Our kids slept no problem.

So fun if you are into any water activities

I will start out saying this was a gorgeous house. We have a 3 and 5 year old so the location on the beach was a dream. I loved it. Everything was absolutely perfect except one thing. You heard every footstep from the people upstairs. They were not loud, up late people but you heard every (barefoot) step they made and chair they moved. The steps to get up to their suite was right over the master bedroom. It echoed so loud that you couldn’t sleep. The upstairs patios also overhung our patio so when they sat out you had zero privacy. They would sit and chat and it was so loud that I couldn’t have a conversation. Again I must say these people were not loud, it’s just how close you are. A cool feature about the upstairs is their entire beachside of the building was these garage door windows so they could open up and be wide open. Unfortunately it made us feel like we were vacationing with them. We heard every conversation. They could talk to their kids on the beach. We even would have to listen to their tv while we were on our patio. If we were outside we felt like we had an audience the whole time. It is a neat concept but totally not feasible if you are sharing a building.

We loved staying here! The location is perfect - on the Bay side, which has the calm water and less foot traffic than the beach side. Though there was still lots of activity right on the main path just outside the patio gate - which made for great people watching! Not a lot of privacy with people just walking, biking, blading, running, etc... but we loved keeping the doors and shades open to let in all that natural light and enjoy the views! This place had a great indoor/outdoor vibe with 4 sliding doors. We would definitely stay here again. We loved using the kayaks, SUPs, bikes and beach toys!

Guest room has two twin bed. Don't make the mistake like I did and book this home for a couples trip. Everything else was fine!

Great location, right on the water. It's quieter on this side, which is nice. House is stocked with all of the beach toys you could ever want - stand-up paddle boards, etc. Many places within walking distance to rent wet suits or get coffee, drinks, or dinner. Overall highly recommend for a quieter beach getaway.

Gem on the bay! The home was warm and inviting, with a lovely modern coastal aesthetic and excellent location overlooking the bay. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could possibly need, and the patio was definitely the highlight! Perfect place to slowly start your mornings while soaking in some rays, or unwind at night with a glass of wine, getting lost in those stellar views. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Great location right on the bike path. It’s on the bay side, so a lot less foot traffic than the ocean side. Place is clean, great kitchen, good deck for hanging out or grilling.

We really loved hopping on the bikes that are provided to enjoy a bike ride down the board walk. It’s on the bay side and the water is like glass, my two kids took advantage of the stand of paddle boards and kayaks. The patio is great, My husband and I grilled as we were enjoying a glass of wine while we watched our kids play in the sand. This place doesn’t stop with just the beach fun. It was warm, welcoming and just cozy! The inside was spotlessly clean, the kitchen was great with an open floor plan. The fireplace was very easy to use which was a nice touch at night. We can’t wait to plan our next trip back here!!”

Communication was smooth and the place was well furnished. It is on the bayside, so it is a bit quieter if that is what you are looking for. However, it is only a few minutes walk to the beachside

The location is perfect with view of bay and a block from ocean. Kimberly and her team were super responsive to address any questions and concerns we had. We would highly recommend this place. Full nice kitchen. A few suggestions to make stay even better. New pillows would be useful to have and bike chain on one of the bikes need fixing. Everything else was working well. Thank you!

We had an amazing time at this super trendy oasis. There was so much for us to do with the paddle boards, kayaks, bikes, surf boards, boogie boards, paddle boat etc etc. We didn’t have to leave other than to get food which was great during these times of quarantine. Kimberly was very easy to get ahold of for any questions we had. Highly recommend this piece of heaven steps away from the beach. Definitely coming back !!

The thought of EVERYTHING! Very funky spot right on the water. Immaculate, stylish, funky, with everything you never knew you'd want at your fingertips. I was blown away.

The unit itself was awesome! Just as pictured, very clean, very well equipped kitchen, wonderful bathrooms, and comfortable! There were a couple of things that may or may not bother other vacationers. The unit above us was also rented and we could hear all their movements. The public sidewalk was maybe a foot from the patio, which left no privacy inside or out. We could also hear everyone's conversations as they went by. We decided to move somewhere else ... the hosts were extremely nice, flexible, and very understanding!! Even though we found another place on our own, they did try to help us find something else. The communication was great.

Great place! House was sparkling clean and beautiful just like the pictures. The beach is literally a step out of the door. There was an abundance of windows and sliding doors out onto the patios. The beach toys, bikes, paddle boards, etc were an added bonus and very appreciated! The only downside is that the house has two other properties available for rent. The unit directly above does have a patio and stairs right above the master and living room. Traveling with little ones made it a little challenging as we heard quite a bit of trekking up and down the stairs as well as the siding of patio furniture quite frequently. I am still kicking myself for not contacting the host sooner. As soon as we contacted she immediately got in touch with the other occupants and advised them of the noise disturbance. Host was very communicative and responsive! Overall we had an amazing time and enjoyed our stay!

Best thing about this place is all the fun toys! Steps from the water and my kids were able to body board and kayak. Responsive management and great to have parking. We walked to a great coffee shop every morning

Great location on Mission Bay and only a few hundred yards from Mission Beach. The owner was extremely pleasant and easy to work with. The beach cruisers and lounge chairs were ours to use when we wanted. The roof top patio with hot tub has amazing views of the bay and is a great place to relax. There is no kitchen, however, the mini fridge, coffee/tea maker, and microwave were more than enough for what we needed. Plenty of restaurants in walking or biking distance! Highly recommended for a romantic getaway.

We were in town as business professionals in order to attend a conference at the San Diego Conference Center. The fact that it was close to downtown but yet felt secluded from the noise was amazing. Having parking was a must and the garage provided us that. The house is amazing. Thank you

We spent four nights in paradise. The suite in the sky was meticulously maintained with a pelican theme and was extremely comfortable. We rode bikes on the boardwalk, kayaked the bay and took morning strolls on the beach. Highly recommend for a quiet get away.

Perfect location for so many beach activities! I enjoyed both worlds with provided Boogie Boards on the Beach and Paddle Boards and Kayaks on the Bay. Bikes are also provided, so I didn't need to drive my vehicle as everything was close. The new updates to the room were beautiful!

We stayed for a quick weekend and the Sandcastle was perfect! The private deck and amazing view made you feel like you owned the place. The location was clutch, very close to a ton of little cafes and shops. We enjoyed the activities at the Sandcastle nestled on Sail Bay, complete with beach cruisers and stand up paddle boards. We can't wait to visit again next year! Thank you for the wonderful hospitality!!

My husband and I stayed in the rooftop room for a weekend. It was everything we hoped for and more. The room is clean and the bed is super comfy. The view from the private deck is beautiful!! We took full advantage of the paddle board, kayak and bikes. Location is perfect (steps away from bayside beach and a few min walk to ocean beach) and the owners made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this rental!!! There are a lot of stairs and the tub is a little hard to get in and out so maybe not for someone who has trouble with stairs (try the lower level). Would LOVE to visit this home again!!

First and foremost, Thank you for making me feel so at home. What a special place to stay love the privacy of the top deck and hot tub. We stayed for the weekend of my nephews wedding @ sunset cliffs 20 min away. My Brother and his wife came on Saturday and we took advantage of all the toys.. bikes .. paddle board ... and kayak. Thank you again for your wonderful hospitality. I plan on coming back soon if available because it is a hidden gem.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience at this property this summer. The unit is very comfortable, very clean, has a large deck with an umbrella table, a spa and an elevated portion of the deck with an additional table for dining/ games, etc. The view of Mission Bay is terrific. They also have bikes, kayaks, and beach chairs available for use by the renters.

My wife and I have stayed here several times and we just love it! This time we brought our son and his friend also my parents who just loved it. We stayed in both top and bottom floors. My favorite if it's just two of you is top floor. We've stayed at several places over the years on the bay and beach and bar none this is the best! The location and the views are incredible you won't be disappointed. They supply you with bikes, paddle board, kayaks, boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrellas you name it it's probably there. Bay is there every morning you wake up to enjoy and the beach is a short walk across the street to also enjoy it's the best of both worlds. We will be back again and again!

My wife and I spent our first anniversary weekend here. The location was great and the rental was perfect for our taste...it had everything we needed. The property owners were extremely helpful upon arrival and made sure we had everything we needed. The keurig coffemaker and off-street parking spot were great bonuses.

The view from the decks is amazing...we had a hard time leaving to explore San Diego because we found ourselves missing the deck. The hot tub was great as well. We enjoyed being able to walk to Pacific Beach in the evenings for a drink/dinner and there were plenty of restaurants close by.

The only thing we wished at times was that the unit had air conditioning. This would almost never be an issue, but we happened to be there for a few days of 90+ degree temps...certainly not normal San Diego weather. The unit cooled off nicely in the evenings and there were 2 fans available that kept us pretty comfortable during the day. Also, the bath tub/shower is a bit tough to get in/out of...this wasn't an issue for us but could be for others.

Overall, this property is highly recommended and we are hoping to come back and hopefully be able to enjoy a full week there next time!

Wonderful vacation. The rooftop deck is huge and we pretty much lived there sunrise to bedtime, and enjoyed panoramic views, walking distance to restaurants, ocean beaches, and bay beach at the foot of the stairs. The hosts were flexible and accommodating and we had a great time using the tandem kayak.

Very clean, very friendly helpful 2nd floor residents, the view can't be beat, the deck and hot tub were amazing. The area is quiet right on the sand, the busier ocean side of mission beach is a 5 min walk away. Very close to shops and restaurants. Don't miss the Mission for breakfast but know the food is amazing and huge portions.

The location of the property is great because it is within walking distance to Mission Beach. It is on the bay side and has a great view of the water. The bedroom has plenty of space for a couple with two couches and a walk-in closet. We did not get to use the refrigerator and microwave as it was not in the bedroom. The bathroom was fine but just be aware that the tub is unique in that it is like a freestanding bathtub and is a little hard to get into. They provided bikes, kayaks etc to use as a part of your stay. It was lovely and I recommend staying here. I did not have time to use the hot tub but it looked clean and easy to use.

Unfortunately, I was unable to go due to a serious back injury, which I'm still recovering from. I can't say enough about the owners as they were very understanding and accommodating. As soon as I'm recovered I won't hesitate to book here again!!!

I can't say enough good things about our stay in the rooftop room. I was just re-living our trip and realized I didn't leave a review before.

I loved everything about this room! The private rooftop deck with the hot tub were obviously great, but I never expected the bed and pillows to be so comfortable! I've never slept so good away from home, and often enough not that good at home either! Seriously--I emailed when I got home to ask where they bought the pillows and have since purchased my own set. :)

My husband and I went back and forth when deciding whether to rent this room or not, because it seemed small and my husband prefers a modern feel. I'm so glad we didn't turn down the opportunity to stay here! It had plenty of space for our needs, and as it turned out, we spent most of our time kayaking or biking around, playing beach games, or just sitting in beach chairs--the owners really provided everything we would need to enjoy our stay! And whenever we needed rest, our room was perfectly quiet any time of day.

We would visit twice a year if we could just arrange babysitting that often!

I was in SD on business. The rooftop studio was perfect. I had a great view of the Bay, sunrise every morning. Hot Tub was a nice, clean & pretty cool.

Hosts are terrific people, highly recommend.

I had a wonderful time renting this unit. The owner is extremely nice and accommodating and the rooftop deck is the highlight of the rental, which overlooks the bay and is very quiet and relaxing. I rented the room with a friend, but would highly recommend for a couple looking for a getaway.

I had high expectations and I was not remotely disappointed! Not only is it a nice and comfortable room, the owner's are fantastic! It is conveniently located to everything and a really nice neighborhood. I plan on returning here often!
