We really enjoyed staying here. The home was very clean and comfortable. Neighborhood was quiet and very safe. So close to the beach. We would definitely stay here again. No complaints

We enjoyed our stay. The room with the trundle beds was great for kids. The house had everything we needed and was a short walk to the beach and Belmont Walk. Would stay here again.

Great location, fairly clean and comfortable home. There were some beach chairs, umbrella, and wagon in the garage we were able to use which was really nice to have. Beds were clean and comfortable.
This home does not have AC and we went in mid September, the home was 86 degrees inside upon check-in. This home is probably not setup well for warmer times of year. Also we had some issues with the WiFi.
The host messaged us outside of AirBnB messaging, direct to our phone, to ask all guests names and ages. I thought this was strange and a non-standard practice.

Great place in a great location... We enjoy staying in South Mission and this accommodated our family perfectly. We also appreciated the parking which lent to a worry-free experience while also allowing us to park our vehicle in the garage. Beyond the above, Magical Mission Beach accommodated our request for an early check-in and overall, were very responsive and all communications were very detailed. Thanks for making our Labor Day weekend getaway a great one!

This very comfy home in south Mission Beach is a block from the ocean and a block from the bay—2 great beaches for the family to enjoy. Great kitchen, big family-dining room and small bath downstairs, and 3 comfy bedrooms and big bathroom upstairs. Excellent parking, patio, grill, and outdoor shower. Some airport noise before 11 PM and after 6 AM, but we got used to it. We’ll be back!

We stayed in this house in South Mission Beach for a week and had a great time. We would stay here again and would recommend to others.

We liked the location of the place being on the far south side of Mission Beach as it was not too crazy. We drove a Honda CR-V which fit nicely in the garage (although tight). We have stayed at other places in Mission Beach over the years and have found the parking to be challenging if you have a larger car. The place was clean, well stocked with kitchen items and fit the needs of our group of 4 . We would stay there again.

If you know Mission Beach then you’ll be getting what you expected. There are a few things to note: there are airplanes constantly taking off from SAN so be prepared for airplane noise. The house had plenty of box fans to turn on at night which really minimized the noise, which was helpful. Beds were comfortable and house was clean and just a few steps from the beach.

We came here for my brother’s bachelor party. This is a very well kept beach house with room for the entire family. It is 50 steps from the beach, and less than a mile to the shops and restaurants. Highly recommend! We plan to book again.

It was a dream - it couldn't have been lovlier. The quick access to the beach and the bay was amazing, let alone having garage parking.

The house was lovely, the beds and pillows so comfortable, and the best part was the incredibly close and easy access to Mission Beach and Mission Bay. It was a dream vacation come true!

Perfectly situated between the bay and the ocean sides. The house was beautiful and well cared for. My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

Great place I would stay there again

This is a perfect place for a large family or blended group.
The three bedrooms are upstairs, together with the main bathroom (with a private shower and a tub) while there is another full bathroom downstairs.
There are three designated parking spots (one in a garage) which is highly unusual for this location.
The place is a block to the ocean and two blocks to the bay! The boardwalk offers much for walking, running, bicycling, roller skating, and beyond. Beach combing, swimming, beach volleyball... Lots to do!
There is a wonderful coffee shop nearby with a full menu as well as a phenomenal Mexican restaurant a couple of blocks away.
The outdoor shower is a must for sandy stuff.
I recommend the place most highly.

Just a perfect location, 2 very short blocks from the beach through a semi private alley. The downstairs is much more spacious than the photos show. The hosts were responsive and helpful and we really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely recommend.

This is a decent beach house if you don’t mind bringing some of your own needs. All the rooms are upstairs and so is one bathroom. The description doesn’t say that. It was a different set up than expected. It was nice to have a grill to cook on, a full size dishwasher, and the use of a washer and dryer. It was also nice to be super close to the beach. The neighborhood is quiet and neighbors were friendly. However, we traveled from Iowa and were all disappointed about other aspects of this rental. First of all, they don’t provide enough toilet paper. They gave us 3 extra rolls for a family of 7 for 5 days. In addition, there’s a K cup coffee machine. They gave us enough for 2 days of coffee. When asked, the owner said they only give a starter pack. Toilet paper and coffee are provided everywhere else we have stayed. In my opinion, it is a basic need that should be provided. It has never been an issue anywhere else. After already spending a lot of money on the actual rental, I was told the grocery store was 1.5 miles away. I don’t want to buy toilet paper and coffee on my vacation. I’m here to spend time with my family and make memories. The kitchen had one dish towel. There were no dishcloths. Only a sponge. We had 4 girls that needed to get ready on this trip. The bathroom has one outlet above the mirror that didn’t work. There weren’t any outlets to dry your hair or use a curling iron in the bathroom. The rooms have large mirrors with plug ins but it just wasn’t ideal when we had a wedding to get ready for . There were spices in the kitchen but all the ones we would have used were gone except salt and pepper. I appreciated a clean home but was very turned off by the fact only a “starter” was given for basic needs. In the description on VRBO it says they provide paper products like Kleenex and toilet paper. It doesn’t state a starter kit. In the note 24 hours prior to our arrival, it said they provide 3 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom. That is what we were given total-3 extra rolls. They are not big rolls and it isn’t enough for 5 days of stay. I wouldn’t book with this company again. We saved up a long time to pay for this vacation only to have to spend even more and to try to fit in time to purchase things we thought would be provided.

Overall, it was a great stay. My friends and I enjoyed the cleanliness of the place. The location was extremely close to the beach.

The only thing that was somewhat of a nuance was the rental company calling me several times asking us about the good neighbor policy, which we’ve obviously read prior to booking. Other than that, they were very helpful with nearby events and things to see.

Amazing place! It was literally right there at the beach where my friends and I played frisbee and football and just had a great time. Ubering is really easy to get to all the places. 10/10 weekend. I have no complaints about anything. Thank you! :)

Great location for a peaceful get away! Short walk or drive to multiple restaurants and shops. Plenty of open space inside and on the front patio to spread out and relax. Would highly recommend!

A comfortable stay at Mission Beach, good house that's a little bit more affordable than others in the area.

The property is in an incredible location and the neighborhood is awesome. The parking was also very great as that is always an issue down in this area. The property does not have A/C so it got pretty warm during the week we were there. If they had A/C working the unit would be a 10/10, but due to no active A/C it's 8/10

We absolutely loved the Magical Mission Beach House! My family was joined by another family of four and we were all extremely comfortable in the home. It is located on a peaceful street and the neighbors were all extremely nice. The beach is less than a minute's walk away and not very crowded, which we like. The house came with beach chairs, boogie boards, and toys so everyone had something to do. We will definitely be back next summer!

We have stayed at many places in Mission Beach and this was a good spot. The 3 parking spots are not something you normally get plus there is a public parking lot right around the corner where you might find a spot. We walked to Belmont Park, the volleyball courts are right in front of the unit, and there are plenty of chairs/beach toys (even though we didn’t use them). The price is comparable with beach house pricing during prime summer. We would stay again.

Plenty of room for 6 adults 2 children. Comfortable beds & linens. We appreciated the beach wagon, chairs & sand toys. Easy walk to the beach. Parking is tight especially since we had a Suburban. House gets hot so we opened windows. Early morning noise with trash trucks & airplanes start right at 7:00.

We stayed here for our summer vacation because we love Mission Beach! A few steps to the west is the ocean, beach, and boardwalk. A few steps to the east is the bay, beach, and playground. We spent time on both sides and pulled a wagon around with all the beach amenities this place provides. We walked to Belmont Park and visited all the shops/restaurants on the boardwalk and main road. This place had everything we needed and was perfect for our family of 5. We will try to stay here again and we recommend this be at the top of your list if you are looking for a great place in Mission Beach!

We recently stayed at this property for 3 days and, unfortunately, encountered several issues. The porch lights did not work, the dishwasher was completely non-functional, the bathtub drainage was clogged, one of the closet doors did not open properly, and the toilet paper roll holder upstairs was broken. Additionally, some of the dishes were dirty with stains, requiring us to wash them again before use.

While the location was convenient and close to restaurants and grocery stores, our experience was marred by unexpected noise, such as hearing neighbors blowing their noses. Despite contacting the host about these problems, we only received a response after calling the next morning, as our texts were not answered.

Overall, while the location was great, several aspects of our stay fell below our expectations.

Fantastic stay that is steps away from the beach & the fun Belmont but just far enough away for some peace & quiet even on the busy week of the 4th of July. Host had great communication throughout & even helped to quickly bring fans by when requested. Bed & linens were all very lush & comfy— huge plus to feel right at home! We would definitely return!

Place was great. Our two families had no issues with the size of the house and had a fun time in the Mission Beach area. Property manager was very helpful also.

Great place to stay for a weekend of watching college sports. Very close to beach but off the boardwalk so much more private. The parking is REALLY important and a wonderful perk. The house is very clean and comfortable. Has everything you need! Hosts are really helpful and respond to questions quickly.

This place was awesome. Sandwiched between 2 bodies of water with a 1 min walk in each direction. House was great with all of the amenities we could possibly need. Very spacious! The management team was very active with communication. I would definitely stay here again.

Overall stay was great. Only complaint was that the dish washer was extremely smelly but they came over (unannounced) but it was to address the complaint we had made. Would stay with them again.

Wonderful location - block and a half to Mission Bay, block and half to the surf! Patio out front is wonderful, a number of epic dinners were enjoyed there!

House was awesome, very close to the beach. No A/C was a little bit of a bummer, if it is going to be a hot weekend I don't know if I could totally recommend a stay here. House Directions are slightly off, the address is based off front patio side of the house not where the garage is.

The location was great and easy access. The downstairs has been updated and looked good. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs that photograph well but were just ok. There are two bathrooms, but the one upstairs was separate, and we had to share it with 3 teenagers. The bathtub/shower did not drain very well either. There is a second bathroom on the main level but was not very convenient and had the weirdest shower head that didn't work very well.

Our family had a great stay in San Diego! The house is in a great location and was very clean. Magical Mission Beach was very responsive and helpful. I would stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy some beach time at Mission Beach!

The house is very close to the beach and very spacious. Three parking spaces in this area is gold since it’s very tough to find street parking. We loved the large living room because we had a lot of room for the whole family to hangout together. There is plenty of seating outside which was nice. Overall I would recommend this place to everyone especially families.

Mission Beach is the best place to stay. There is so much to do in this area. We enjoy the beach and the bay, the boardwalk, the sand, the jetty.... walking, riding bikes, roller blading. We appreciated the open seating in the family room and on the patio. We appreciated the games for the kids and the big screen tv and the assigned parking. This area is not as busy as the northern part of mission beach, or pacific beach. There are mini-markets close by and a grocery store less than 10 minutes away. There is good food and a little shopping. We rented bikes and roller blades close by. We appreciated the bbq on the patio too.

Beautiful place and we loved the location! We walked to Belmont Park and then to a coffee shop. The house was hard to find at first because the gps took us to the front but you just have to turn on the street before to get to the alley for the parking spots. I appreciate that the instructions to get inside were detailed. We went during the rainstorm weekend, so we loved having the heater! It was super nice and convenient. I wish there were blankets we could use because they were cold nights but it was nice to have sheets and linens.

This was a great place for a group of friends to meet up for a weekend. There were 2 toddlers in our group so the proximity to the beach was so key in making it a smooth weekend.
