“Villa Rey is such a beautiful house and in a fantastic location very close to the bay and the beach! The property was spotless and everything was brand new throughout. The kitchen has everything you could need, and there were loads of fluffy towels and super comfy beds. It has everything you need for a great beach vacation including bikes, and beach chairs and games. It’s a nice walk along the boardwalk to the restaurants on Mission Beach, and you can reach Pacific Beach easily by bike. I’d highly recommend a stay here – the highlight has to be fresh lemons from the tree in the garden!” Kate

“Fantastic! Such a great beach house. Super clean. The rooftop is so nice. The beds are comfy. They have lots of sand toys for the kids to use. The location is perfect – a really quick walk over to the beach, and even quicker walk to the bay. It’s even really close to the grocery store – hop on one of the millions of scooters or bikes lining the sidewalks that you can rent and run grab what you need. We walked down to Belmont Park one evening with all our kids and had a blast – about a mile away, but a very nice, easy walk along the beach the whole way. It’s also very nice to have parking spots as parking in Mission Beach can be difficult. Highly recommend the Rooftop Dream!” Jessica

“We had such a great stay! This home is beautiful and everything is new. It was in the perfect location. My youngest daughter was scared of the ocean, so we just walked down the road to the bay and played for hours. It was perfect to have both options! They also provided beach chairs, an umbrella, beach towels, and toys. We didn’t have to worry about a thing. There were also 2 beach cruisers that were a lot of fun to ride to the little market a few blocks away and along the boardwalks. We will definitely be staying here again. “Alright folks. This place is phenomenal! Ultra clean and fully renovated. Loved the look of the kitchen with new appliances. About 3 minute walk from the beach or the bay and 10-15 minute walk to nice eateries and bars. The lemon tree was very popular with my kids and their daily lemonade! Host was phenomenal and easy to reach when needed. House was fully stocked with beach gears like chairs, umbrella and beach towels. A well deserved 5 star! Quiet at night for those who are looking for some rest or with young family. Houses closer to or on the beach can be noisy and more for partiers.” Guillaume

From sand toys, beach chairs, umbrellas, bikes, boogie boards! They had everything you need for the beach right in the garage. And the pantry was also well stocked with things we ended up needing but didn’t realize we would when we packed. It was also very helpful how responsive Kimberly and Lynn were! “Kimberly’s house was perfect for my family’s visit from Colombia, it was a great place for 6 people. Location – Very centrally located – Very convenient to move around, close to bus stops. Drugstores, Ralph’s and other grocery stores all within 2-4 miles. Amenities – Everything you need! The kitchen is fully loaded (pots/pans, microwave, toaster, dishes, measuring cups, all the basics), there are plenty of towels, pillows, blankets, even beach chairs, beach towels, and bikes. Owner responsiveness – Amazing again! I had just a couple of questions during the week and texted Kimberly and she got back to me super fast. Comfort – Great dinning and living spaces, the house also have a table and chairs for eating or just relaxing outside. Garage for two cars, we have a Porsche Cayenne and a compact. “Well-located two-level unit just 15 seconds walk from the bayside boardwalk in Mission Beach, and about a 90 second walk away from the ocean side boardwalk. Kimberly, the property manager, is super welcoming and very nice and responsive! You can’t do much better than the location. There is a small grocery store just two mins walk away, as well as two bars that appear to be quite popular with the locals. I would think people would be quite happy with this place. We came to celebrate our friend’s 40th birthday, stayed three nights, and had a nice time. The unit was located close to the water, as mentioned above, but also made adventures in Pacific Beach and Ocean Beach and downtown and the marina areas quite accessible.” Shourjo

“This house was perfect! It was just as pictured and better. The house was perfectly laid out and every amenity was thought of. The house was super clean, the beds very comfortable, the towels were even large and extra soft! The location could not have been better. The kids loved the beach and the bike/walking path. The beach toys and bikes were great. My husband even attempted surfing in a wetsuit. The local restaurants were fun and food was great. If you didn’t want to try local or in need of supplies the market was within walking also a CVS, and a Starbucks. We liked knowing we had support in the neighborhood if anything went wrong. We enjoyed our time in San Diego very much. We visited the zoo, Balboa Park, the seals in LaJolla. Our favorite restaurants were Richard Walker pancake house, BarleyMash, Extraordinary desserts, and FatFish. I would recommend this house to everyone.” Kathryn
